The accommodation is ideally located on the seafront in Nairn with wonderful views across parkland and sandy beach to the Moray Firth and mountains beyond.  Situated next to the Links, on the favoured Victorian west-side of Nairn, the Apartment is within walking distance of the sandy beach, shops and a variety of restaurants.  The Apartment has Wi-Fi. The owners of the Apartment are Douglas & Kay Mitchell who own and run the Invernairne Guest House just ½ mile away. We own just this one apartment in the Royal Marine Apartments and photos on this web site relate to this specific apartment.

WHY NAIRN?

Nairn has been a spa holiday town for well over a hundred years with beautiful beaches and even its own "micro-climate", said to be even sunnier and warmer than places just a few miles away, such as Inverness; visit Nairn's harbour and view its yachts or take a boat trip offshore from Inverness to see the only place in Scotland with a resident dolphin population. Nairn really is the perfect base for touring the Highlands and boasts 2 championship golf courses (Nairn and Nairn Dunbar) and another 20 within easy reach including a great new golf £70 million course just 10 miles away at Castle Stuart - now the new home of the Scottish Open Championship; historic Castles such as Cawdor and Brodie are very close as is the battlefield of Culloden; wildlife abounds and the area also offers:

  • Sandy beaches - TripAdvisor Travellers Choice 2013 names Nairn Beach in Top 25 Beaches in the U.K.!
  • Just a few miles from Inverness & Loch Ness
  • On the Moray Firth has a resident population of dolphins and seals. (The WDCS Dolphin and Seal Centre is a great place for information. Wonderful dolphin and wildlife photos by local photographer can be seen at www.charliephillipsimages.co.uk)
  • Dolphin boat trips run from Inverness (approx. 14 miles)
  • Golf (Nairn with 2 Championship courses); 20 more courses easily within reach
  • Walking
  • Bird watching
  • Highland country sports
  • Highland Games in many Highland towns during the season
  • Horse riding
  • Fascinating tours of the many whisky distilleries within easy reach (e.g. Speyside)
  • Touring
  • Historic castles
  • Fascinating Nairn Museum
  • Indoor swimming pool with steam bath (5 minute walk)
  • Fishing (a salmon weighing over 30 pounds was caught on the River Nairn)
  • Just 6 miles from Inverness Airport
  • Squash, tennis, gym & sauna (in Leisure Centre – only 5 minutes walk)
